Ficus pumila ‘quercifolia’ has petite, lobed foliage making it a precious creeping plant. This creeper is perfect for a humid and bright environment, making it a fantastic terrarium plant.
It has a spreading habit, with fast growing vines growing in all directions. Interesting enough, the aerial roots of this plant secrete an organic glue that hardens upon drying which allows it to adhere to their support. Just like other Ficus, this plant will thrive in a warm, stable temperature with good air circulation. Other than that, keep it evenly moist, never letting it dry out completely, and it will happily grow! Due to our ficus pumila ‘Quercifolia’ being use to a high humidity growing environment, you will need to acclimate it to your own growing environment. We recommend growing your plant in a high humidity, enclosed container, terrarium, or vivarium to ensure the best growth. Your cuttings will come in its very own dome cloche filled with spaghnum moss to act as a temporary high humidity growing environment.
